Usage and Setup

The tobacco bowl fits most standard hookahs. Here's how to use it properly:

1. Loosely fill the bowl with shisha tobacco, just below the rim. Do not pack it down.
2. Lay aluminum foil tightly over the rim with small holes, or use a Kaloud Lotus or Hot Pan.
3. Place the coals on the edge, not in the center. Give the session some time.
4. Draw gently. The bowl has good airflow, so overdoing it is unnecessary.

Use natural coals for hookah for the best results. They provide more even heat than quick-light coals.

Cleaning

Do not use dish soap - it will absorb into the clay and give an odd aftertaste. Rinse the bowl with hot water and let it air dry completely. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

Over time, the clay will darken. This is normal. The bowl actually gets better the more you use it.
