Then place your glowing shisha coals on top of the foil. For best results, use 2 to 3 coals for good heat distribution.

Take a few gentle draws from your shisha hose to allow the tobacco to reach temperature. After that, the hookah will smoke evenly.

Coals and tobacco: what pairs well

The quality of your foil partly determines how well your coals function. With the extra thick Al Fakher foil, the coals last a bit longer because they burn through the foil less quickly. That saves you from having to change coals during your session.
