How to use these shisha coals?

Coconut coals are not lit with a lighter or candle. You need a coal burner. Place the coals on the burner and heat them for three to five minutes until they glow completely orange on all sides. Use a shisha tong to pick up the glowing coals and place them on the bowl.

Make sure the coals are always fully lit before you use them. Coals that are half-glowing emit carbon monoxide. You want to avoid that. Use an electric coal burner for the fastest and safest way to light them. A gas burner also works well if you are outside or do not have an outlet nearby.

Place two or three coals on the bowl. When using a heat management device such as a Kaloud Lotus, place three coals in it. Adjust the amount based on how much smoke you want. It's better to start with less and add a coal if the smoke is too thin.

Maintenance and cleaning
