The H2 Rayka Pastel Green is a modern, complete hookah with an elegant pastel green finish. Behind that calm look sits a tight build with premium smoking performance and a horizontal blow-off system, good for a smooth draw and generous smoke. Everything you need to run the hookah is within easy reach.

How the horizontal blow-off works

The valve sits horizontally in the stem and works simply: blow gently through the hose as soon as the smoke gets too heavy, and the stale smoke leaves the hookah through the valve instead of being pushed back into the water. Nothing has to be unscrewed or switched over. Positioned horizontally, it stays within easy reach mid-session, which is exactly when you want it: halfway through a long session this is the fastest way to get the flavor clear again.

Preparing the first session

Fill the vase with water until the tube of the stem sits just below the surface, lock the stem in place and check that the rubber seals close properly everywhere. A hookah that lets air in draws heavily, and you notice that straight away in the smoke. Once everything is tight, all that is left is filling the bowl and laying on your charcoal.

Why this hookah is easy to use

Let the parts dry separately and check while you do so that the valve has not seized. Those few minutes of work keep the hookah in good condition for years and keep the flavor fresh.

How does the blow off valve on the H2 Rayka work in practice?

Rather than blowing back down into the water, you clear the old smoke through a valve on the side. The result is a fresher taste when a session runs long.

Does anything else need buying to get started?

The hookah itself is complete and ready for use. Coals, a hookah bowl and the tobacco or paste are the only extras. I have never owned a hookah before.

Is this a sensible first one?

Very much so. Nothing about the assembly is fiddly and the draw is light, which is exactly what you want while you are learning.

Are there other finishes besides pastel green?

What is the cleaning routine?
