Use and Setup

Loosely pack the bowl with shisha tobacco. Do not pack the tobacco too tightly, as the Vortex bowl needs space for air circulation around the raised core. Fill to just below the rim of the bowl wall. Are you using aluminum foil? Pierce small holes in a circle around the core. Are you using a heat management system? Then you don't need any foil at all. Maintenance and Cleaning

After each session: empty the bowl and rinse it with warm water. If there's caked-on tobacco, soak the bowl in warm water for 10 minutes and loosen the crust with a soft brush. The ceramic coating keeps most dirt out, so deep cleaning is rarely necessary. Let the bowl dry thoroughly before storage. Do not put it in the microwave or oven. Terracotta is sensitive to large temperature shocks, so do not drop it after use and do not place it directly on a cold surface.
