The point of a non-washable hose

Water never goes inside this hose, and that is deliberate. The lining slowly takes on the character of whatever you smoke through it, so a flavor you return to often gets richer rather than muddier. Smokers who rotate through many different flavors are usually better served by a washable silicone hose instead, because those rinse through without any effort.

Blue works well with chrome, glass and clear vases, and it gives a dark set-up a bit of color. When you smoke with a group it helps that everyone holds a different shade; next to the red and the black version, the blue hose is easy to pick out. Keeping a non-washable hose in condition

Water stays out of it, then. Give the hose a firm blow-through when the session ends so no moisture or residue is left sitting in the lining, and store it dry at room temperature afterwards. Keep it out of damp rooms and never leave water inside, because that is what attacks the lining, and a hose that has been soaked never quite smells right again.
