How to use the foil with your shisha

First, fill your hookah tobacco bowl with your favorite shisha and lightly loosen the tobacco. Cut a piece of foil that extends well over the edge of the bowl. Stretch it tightly and press the edges firmly so no air can escape. Then poke holes with a toothpick, a cleaning pin, or a foil poker. Start with a circle of small holes just inside the rim and add more holes in the center if you want more draw.

Preheat your hookah coals well on a hookah coal burner until they are completely gray. Then place two or three pieces of coal on the edge of the foil and let the bowl heat up for a minute or two before you start drawing. This prevents a bitter taste from too hot coal on cold tobacco.

Combination with the right coals

Foil and coals are inextricably linked. You get the best results with natural hookah coals because they provide even and long-lasting heat. Quick-lighting coals can get very hot and burn the tobacco faster, which also leaves its marks on sturdy foil. Choose Black Coco coals or a similar brand if you want to smoke for a long and relaxed time.

Also adjust the amount and position of the coals if the smoke feels too hot or too light. Move them to the edge for less heat, or slide them to the center for more heat. With foil that is resistant to burning through, you can calmly adjust without having to replace your foil every time.

Complete your session
