How to set up the Quasar Petit Raas 2

Loosely pack your shisha tobacco into the bowl. Do not press too hard - air must be able to flow through the tobacco. Fill just below the rim, so the tobacco does not touch the top of the phunnel. Then place two or three natural coals on the bowl. Thanks to the built-in heat system, the heat will distribute evenly over the tobacco.

Start with two coals and after five minutes, check if the flavor is developing well. Add a third coal if you want more heat. Remove a coal if the smoke becomes dry or bitter. With some practice, you will quickly find the right balance for your favorite flavor.

Do you not need a foil holder? No. The Petit Raas 2 works without foil thanks to its integrated heat system. That is one of its advantages over regular ceramic or clay bowls. Less preparation time, more enjoyment.

Maintenance and cleaning

After each session, let the bowl cool down. Discard any remaining tobacco and rinse with warm water. Glass is smooth inside, so dirt hardly adheres to it. A small brush with some dish soap helps with stubborn residue. Do not use abrasive sponges on the aluminum. Then let the bowl dry thoroughly before storing it.

The right coals for this hookah tobacco bowl

For the Quasar Petit Raas 2, natural coals work best. They burn evenly and do not impart any off-flavor. Quick-lighting coals give a chemical aftertaste that you will taste clearly in a glass bowl. You don't want that.
