The Oblako Phunnel L fits well on a Kaloud or other Heat Management System (HMS). That is actually the best way to use it. With an HMS, you don't place loose coals directly on the tobacco, but use a metal holder that regulates the heat. This gives you more control and ensures that your tobacco heats more evenly.

How to set up the Oblako Phunnel L

Fill the tobacco loosely into the head. Do not press too hard - air must be able to flow well through the tobacco. Fill to just below the rim. Place aluminum foil tightly over the head and poke small holes in it with a poker. Then place your hookah coals on the rim of the head, not in the middle. Let the coals burn briefly before you start pulling.

Are you using an HMS such as a Kaloud? Fill the tobacco in the same way, place the Kaloud on the head and place the coals in it. The Kaloud retains heat and you can better adjust the temperature by opening or closing the lid.

Cleaning and maintenance
