Setup and use

The bowl can be separated into two parts. You can slide the silicone base off the stone top. Fill the tobacco chamber just below the rim, not overflowing. Lightly press the tobacco so that the holes are not blocked - this allows good airflow.

The APPO Silko works best with a heat management device instead of foil. A heat management device - also called a hotscreen or HMD - provides more consistent results and prevents the tobacco from burning. Cleaning and maintenance

The glaze on the inside of the tobacco chamber keeps molasses at bay. After each session, rinse the stone part with warm water. Do not use soap or abrasive cleaners - these will damage the glaze. Let both parts dry separately before reassembling them.

The silicone base with the molasses catcher is easy to rinse clean under the tap. Silicone is odor-resistant and does not absorb flavors, so a good rinse is enough. Which coals are suitable for this tobacco bowl?

For a stone and clay tobacco bowl, natural coals are the best choice. They provide consistent, long-lasting heat without an aftertaste. Hookah natural coals like coconut coals burn twice as long as quick-lighting coals and produce cleaner smoke. This matches the quality of this bowl well.
