How does the Kaloud Lotus 1+ work?

The bottom part of the Kaloud Lotus 1+ provides space for your hookah coals. This part has six openings on the side that improve air circulation. This ensures your coals glow evenly throughout the session. Place the bottom ring on the filled tobacco bowl and put the coals in.

The top part is equipped with a handle and a rotating lid. By rotating or opening the lid, you determine how much heat goes to the tobacco. Close the lid for more heat, open it a little for less. This way, you keep the temperature in check throughout the session without having to move the coals. Let everything preheat for a few minutes after placing it on the bowl to get the temperature going nicely.

No more aluminum foil needed

Traditionally, you cover a shisha tobacco bowl with aluminum foil and poke holes in it. That works, but it has disadvantages: the heat is uneven, your foil sometimes tears, and you have less control. The Kaloud Lotus 1+ completely replaces that system. You place it directly on the filled bowl, put the coals in, and use the lid to regulate the heat. For the best results, use natural hookah coals, preferably coconut coals. These provide an even, long-lasting heat without an aftertaste. Quick-lighting coals are less suitable because they are already very hot on their own and the tobacco burns quickly. Light your coals with a good hookah coal burner before placing them in the Kaloud; then they are fully lit and smoking as little as possible.
