Usage and setup: how to do it right

Fill the tobacco chamber loosely, without pressing. The tobacco should not block the holes in the central spire, as these holes are the key to the vortex system. Leave a small space between the tobacco and the top of the bowl, so that the foil or HMD lid does not touch the tobacco.

If you use foil, poke fine holes around the bowl without poking in the center. If you use an HMD like the Kaloud Lotus or other Kaloud shisha accessories, the bowl fits perfectly under the lid. The dimensions are adapted to this. Start with 2 or 3 pieces of shisha coals and give the bowl 4 to 5 minutes to heat up before taking your first puff.

Cleaning and maintenance

The inside of the Kalifa Larimar is glazed. This means that flavors and molasses do not soak into the material. After a session, rinse the bowl with warm water. Use a soft brush for any residue in the tobacco chamber or around the holes of the vortex spire. No harsh chemicals are needed, as they can damage the glaze layer.

Let the bowl dry at room temperature. Do not put it away immediately if it is still warm. After drying, it is ready for the next session. If you are not using it for a while, store it dry and preferably in a box or bag, so that the material is not damaged.
