DUM delivers the Spinne Skull as a complete set. After unpacking, you have everything you need for a first session, except for coals. The box contains:

Setup and use

You can set up the Spinne Skull in a few minutes. Place the skull vase in the tripod, fill it with cold water (not too full, otherwise you'll pull water through), attach the aluminum body to the vase, and connect the hose. Place the phunnel hookah tobacco bowl on the opening, cover it with aluminum foil or an HMD, and place your coals on it once they are burning well. After that, all you have to do is draw.

The diffuser provides a finer bubble pattern and quieter sound while smoking. This makes a session more pleasant, especially in a quiet environment. Use the purge valve if the smoke becomes too heavy: just puff through to let in fresh air.

Cleaning

After use, rinse the crystal vase thoroughly with warm water. The crystal glass allows you to see exactly if there's any residue left. Hang the aluminum hose to dry after rinsing it. Let the phunnel tobacco bowl soak in warm water. Wipe the hookah body dry. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents on the aluminum; a damp cloth is sufficient. The right coals for a good session

For the Dum Spinne Skull, it's best to use flat shisha natural coals. Coconut coals provide stable heat and no aftertaste. Light them well on a shisha coal burner before putting them on the bowl. Quick-lighting coals are easier, but the smell and taste are less refined. For the best experience, go for natural coconut coals from brands like Tom Coco or Black Coco.

Do you also need coal tongs? They are included in the set, but an extra pair of tongs is useful if you want to move the coals during a session.

Complete your session

With the Spinne Skull, you have a solid base, but a good session requires more than just a hookah. Choose your shisha tobacco according to taste, ensure enough coals, and use aluminum foil and pokers for the tobacco bowl if you don't use an HMD. Do you want to use the hookah outdoors? Then pack an extra hookah bag for the rest of your belongings. The included carrying bag is compact and good for the hookah itself.
