Assembly and use

Fill the terracotta bowl with your favorite shisha tobacco and place the hot screen on top. Place the lit hookah coals on the screen and wait two to three minutes. Then you take the first draws to temperature and enjoy a full, even smoke.

The diffuser on the plunger softens the sound of bubbling. This is pleasant if you are smoking for a longer period or if you prefer not to have that rustling sound. You can also remove the diffuser if you want more resistance and a more intense draw.

Maintenance and cleaning

After each session, rinse the glass vase with warm water. Discard any remaining liquid and let the vase drain upside down for a while. Clean the smoke column with an elongated brush or a cloth on a stick. Rinse the silicone hookah hose with warm water; silicone does not absorb odor or taste, so you don't need to wash it with soap. Let the terracotta bowl cool down after use and then wipe it clean. Regular cleaning keeps the taste pure and the parts in good condition.

Choosing the right coals

For the best taste, use natural hookah coals. They give off even heat and do not affect the taste of your shisha. Before use, place them on a shisha coal burner until they are completely gray on the outside. This takes an average of six to eight minutes. Then place two or three coals on the hot screen of the Dum Metropole. Do you use quick-lighting coals? They are handy on the go, but for home, natural coals always give a better taste.
