What's in the set?

The set contains two components that work together:

• A silicone hookah tobacco bowl with Vortex design and bronze finish
• A Kaloud Heat Management Device (HMD) for heat management

The Vortex design means that the air holes are not at the bottom but sideways in the bowl. This prevents molasses from flowing down into the hookah. Your smoke remains clean, your shisha flavour pure, and your hose and vase stay clean longer.

The Kaloud HMD closes on top of the bowl. With this, you place the coals in a closed system that distributes the heat evenly. The adjustable ventilation openings allow you to fine-tune the temperature during the session, without having to constantly move the coals. Less burnt tobacco, longer session, better taste.

Why silicone?

Silicone does not absorb flavours from previous sessions. After a session, you always start with a clean slate, which is ideal if you like to switch between shisha flavours. Ceramic or clay bowls can retain flavours, silicone does not.

Moreover, silicone is heat-resistant. It does not deform due to the heat of the coals. The large foot at the bottom provides a firm grip and prevents you from burning your fingers. How to use the set

Loosely fill the silicone hookah tobacco bowl with shisha tobacco or steam stones, up to just below the rim. Do not pack the tobacco too tightly, airflow is important. Place the Kaloud HMD on the bowl and place your glowing coals in the HMD. Adjust the ventilation openings to your preference: more open for more heat, more closed for a cooler session.

Maintenance

Let the bowl cool down after use. Then rinse it under warm water, possibly with a drop of washing-up liquid and a soft brush. Never pour cold water on a hot bowl: this can eventually damage the silicone. Clean the Kaloud HMD by removing the ash and wiping the inside. This keeps the ventilation openings clear.
