Construction and use

Assembly takes you at most five minutes. Place the vase, screw on the smoke column, hang the silicone hose in the hose holder and place the tobacco bowl on top. Fill the glass vase with cold water up to about two centimeters above the bottom of the tube. Too little water gives hard pulls, too much stifles the pulls. With the 1-liter vase you have enough space to adjust that properly.

The Amy 4Star Hot Screen set works like a grid above the bowl. You place the shisha coals directly on the screen, without foil. This is easier and provides a more even heat distribution. The tray under the bowl catches any ash so your table stays clean.

Would you rather use foil? Then you can also use the bowl in the classic way with aluminum foil and toothpicks.

Cleaning and maintenance

The stainless steel smoke column requires little attention. Wipe it dry after use and it will continue to look good. Check the connections regularly: make sure the rings are properly seated so that no air leaks past. A loose connection makes pulling difficult.

Choosing the right coals

With the Amy Deluxe 450 4Star you work best with flat or round hookah natural coals. Natural coals give a stable heat and have no chemical aftertaste. Quick-light coals are easier to light, but sometimes leave an aftertaste. If you have the choice, go for natural coals.
