Product Description

Aladin Coco 27MM is natural charcoal pressed from coconut shells into 27 mm cubes and sold by the kilo, in a practical 1 kilogram pack. The larger cube is the reason to choose this size: it burns long and evenly and leaves relatively little ash behind. Like all proper coconut charcoal it brings no smell or taste of its own, so what you taste comes entirely from your hookah tobacco or paste.

What makes coconut a good raw material for charcoal?

For these cubes coconut shells are pressed into a dense mass, without additives that make the charcoal catch fire faster. That gives you heat which stays stable and fades slowly, exactly what you want in a session you let run at its own pace. If you like comparing brands, have a look at the other natural charcoal or at the wider range of hookah charcoal.

Lighting them on a charcoal burner

An ordinary lighter will not get natural charcoal going: these need an electric or gas charcoal burner. Let the cubes glow on every side until a thin layer of ash has formed, and only then place them on your hookah bowl, preferably under a heat management device. Always pick up glowing cubes with tongs from our coal holders and tongs range, never by hand.

27 mm or 25 mm: what is the difference?

The number refers to the size of the cube. The 27 mm version is bigger, holds more mass and therefore burns longer, which is welcome with larger hookah bowls and long sessions. The 25 mm cube is more compact and more versatile, and suits most standard bowls better. You pick either size from the same size menu, and both come in the same 1 kilogram pack.

How many cubes go on the bowl?

With this format you usually get by with two to three cubes, depending on the size of your bowl and how heavy you want to smoke. Because they keep burning longer, you swap coals less often halfway through and the temperature stays steadier through the middle of a session. If the session runs too hot, slide one cube to the edge of the screen.

Which hookahs do these coals work on?

From a simple clay bowl to a phunnel: these Aladin cubes can be used anywhere and form a reliable base under your tobacco. If you want to alternate with another brand, the CocoWawa coconut charcoal is the obvious next step; the rest of the Aladin range is in the matching brand collection.

Keeping a kilo dry

Coconut charcoal attracts moisture, and damp cubes are harder to light and burn for a shorter time. Reseal the packaging after every use and keep it in a dry, cool place, well away from the sink. That way the whole kilo stays usable down to the last cube and you do not have to reorder halfway through.

About Aladin Coco 27MM Shisha Charcoal 1KG - Natural Coconut Charcoal for Hookah

Why we recommend the Aladin Coco 27 mm coals

We would rather sell coconut coals that burn clean and add nothing of their own to a session, and Aladin Coco does exactly that. They are a dependable, fairly priced staple for anyone who smokes regularly and does not want to think about their coals. At 27 mm the cubes suit most hookah bowls without any fuss.

Given the choice, we always steer people towards natural coals rather than quick-light ones when flavor is the priority. Lighting them takes a few minutes longer, but the session that follows is cleaner and far more stable.

Why choose Aladin Coco 27MM Shisha Charcoal 1KG - Natural Coconut Charcoal for Hookah

Aladin Coco 27 mm charcoal at ShishaTabak

Aladin Coco 27 mm charcoal is a simple order at ShishaTabak. Place it before 18:00 and the box is normally on your doorstep the next day in the Netherlands, with free delivery once you spend 89.99 euro or more. Every variety we stock is listed under hookah charcoal, including the dedicated natural charcoal section. Coconut charcoal keeps for a long time as long as it stays dry, so a spare kilo in the cupboard means you are never caught short. The size menu lets you move between 25 mm and 27 mm; both come in the same one-kilo pack.

Why smokers pick Aladin Coco 27 mm

Charcoal works best alongside the right tools. A proper charcoal burner gets the cubes glowing all the way through, and a pair of tongs from our charcoal carriers keeps you from moving them by hand. For a change of pace, other coconut brands are worth a try, such as our CocoWawa coconut charcoal, or you can stay with the familiar Aladin range. The larger 27 mm cube holds its heat for longer, which suits wide bowls and unhurried evenings.

Frequently asked questions

Are these natural coals?
Yes. They are made from coconut shell with no quick-light additives, which is why they burn cleanly and evenly.
How do I light the Aladin Coco coals?
Heat them on an electric or gas coal burner until they glow all over. Only move them onto the bowl once they are fully alight.
What is the difference between 27 mm and the other size?
The measurement refers to the size of the cube. Larger cubes stay hot for longer, smaller ones are a little more versatile. Choose your size in the menu.
How many coals are in a kilo?
A 1 kilogram box holds a generous number of cubes, enough for several sessions depending on how heavily you load your bowl.
Do these coals affect the taste?
No. A good coconut coal is neutral in both smell and taste, so the flavor you get is the hookah tobacco or paste itself.
Do I need a coal burner?
Yes. Natural coals will not catch from a lighter, so use an electric or gas burner and let them glow right through.
How should I store the coals?
Dry and sealed. Damp coals are noticeably harder to light, so close the packaging properly between sessions.
When will my coals arrive?
Anything that reaches us before 18:00 is delivered the next day (NL). From 89.99 euro we drop the delivery charge.
