Oduman Infinity Black Glass Bronze Body 45 cm - Stainless Steel Shisha with Titanium Coating

Oduman builds the Infinity as a single series with nine colour combinations; this is the variant with black glass and a bronze body, known at the factory as INF-03-BLACK. The design is unmistakable: a straight stem through a round, engraved block, with a flat tray above it and a widely flaring base below.

What dimensions does Oduman state?

Forty-five centimeters tall, twenty centimeters wide and just as deep, three and a half kilos in weight. That weight comes mostly from the glass and the solid block, and keeps the hookah in place when you pull on the hose. At twenty centimeters the foot is broad enough not to wobble on a soft surface.

Why a coating and not lacquer

The metal parts are stainless steel with a titanium coating over them; that is what gives the bronze tint. You notice the difference from lacquer in the places you turn every session: around the threading of the block and on the rim of the base. There, lacquer picks up scratches within a few months, a coating much later. The steel underneath also cannot rust from the water in the base.

How the smoke travels

Unlike a classic hookah, the vapor leaves the block upward, toward the tray, before it finds its way to the water. That extra route through metal helps it cool. Low in the stem sits a diffuser that breaks the airflow into smaller bubbles, which audibly dampens the gurgling and makes the draw feel more even.

The coal spot on the tray

A separate spot is cut into the tray for a burning coal. Set it down there while you turn or refill the bowl and the underside keeps getting air, so the coal does not go out. On an ordinary solid tray it does, and you have to relight it on your coal burner. The stem also carries a bracket for the mouthpiece.

Hose and port

A silicone hose is included. Silicone takes on no flavour, so after a fruity session you can move to a spicy one without rinsing first. The block has one hose port; this is not a model for two hoses. If you really want two people drawing at once, look at a hookah with two ports among the shisha.

Assembling it

Fill the base with cold water until the smoke guide sits a centimeter or two below the surface. More water makes the draw heavier, less water lets the smoke arrive too warm. Set the stem on firmly, check the grommet and place the tray. Cover the hose port and draw: if you hear air leaking, tighten the connections once more.

What you still need yourself

No hookah bowl is included, as with every model from this brand, and no coal tongs either. You pick a bowl from the hookah bowls; on a hookah this tall a phunnel works nicely. Tongs and other tools sit with the hookah accessories.

Cleaning

Rinse the base with warm water after the session and let it drain upside down. Clean the inside of the stem with a long brush, the outside with a dry cloth. Do not use a scouring pad or descaler on the coated parts. On black glass a glycerin film shows less than on clear glass, which does not mean it is not there.

What to watch for with the glass

The black base carries a narrow clear strip running from the neck to the bottom. That is where you read the water level, and where you see the water going cloudy. Stand the base upside down after rinsing: if water is left standing, limescale settles fastest in exactly that clear strip, and on black glass it shows all the more.

How many coals at this height?

At 45 centimeters the water column is short, so less heat is needed than on a hookah of seventy. Start with two coconut coals of 25 millimeters on the rim of the bowl and only add a third if the vapor lags. Quick-lighting coals leave an aftertaste on a hookah of this calibre that you never get out again; natural coals burn slower and give off nothing.

Who is this model for?

For anyone after a hookah that stays on the table and looks sharp without demanding attention. The size is a compromise: tall enough for a full draw, low enough to see over during an evening. If what you want is maximum smoke output and a long stem, a larger model suits you better. If you want something that feels solid and stays easy to clean, this is the right pick.
