Place 2 or 3 coals on your hookah tobacco bowl, depending on the bowl you are using. Always use good hookah tongs so you don't burn yourself. Is there aluminum foil on your bowl? Then first regularly prick small holes with a poker. This promotes airflow and gives a better taste.
